Dec. 27th, 2009 @ 10:35 pm The Gift of the Magi....
Things were tight this holiday season, getting ready for our move and knowing I will be out of a job... however, we found some fun by going to Pirates Fest to see our friends at The Midsummers Knight Dream; while there I spotted a beautiful and unusually rare parrot; but alas, the funds to purchase such a lovely creature were beyond my means and I had to save what few pennies I had left to buy the love of my life something special for him for Christmas...I had even named the lovely creature "Lola"...she just looked like she was a showgirl from the Copacabana!

A few weeks prior to Christmas I had contacted "The Apprentice" (aka Gabriel) to purchase a gift certificate with the pennies I had earned to put towards the special creature that my Sir Rhino was having created. In speaking to Gabriel I found that my love had not put the down payment on his creature as yet, Gabriel intimated that he had other obligations come up...and there were still a few awaiting their hatching before my loves... thinking nothing of this; I just gave Gabriel the information necessary and made a lovely gift certificate heralding the arrival of the new hatchling...

Come Christmas morning I open a rather large box filled with peanuts and noticed the "wire"...my heart skipped a beat... then a bit of pink feathers and I KNEW it was my Lola!!! He had used his savings that was to be for his hatchling to purchase my Lola, and I had used my savings to purchase his hatchling!!! A true gift of the Magi (and no one had to cut off their hair or sell a watch...though I would have done either)...

It was a truly special Christmas for us both; and we thank the wonderful people at The Midsummers Knight Dream for all they do for us to make ALL of our dreams come true! :)

Dec. 27th, 2009 @ 02:25 pm Bird Pictures?
Getting the itching for another baby already. Going to be an interesting hobby, I suppose. c: Contact juggling and puppets.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any picture of any crows they've done? Owls, crows, and phoenix are listed under the same heading but there's only pictures of owls and phoenix.

It probably won't be a long time until my next order, but I like to keep options in mind. Haha.

Dec. 23rd, 2009 @ 12:33 pm New family member
Hello everyone! Ryuu, Ebony and I are all doing well! How has everyone else been? Tomorrow a new woodbaby will join our family, he is a handheld dragon just like Ryuu except different colors, and was not very happy about having to be hidden away in a closer for the past month and now trapped in a box. Don't worry little guy, you'll be free tomorrow! I shall post pictures and tell you guys more about him when my brother gets him tommorrow :) I'll be sure to take photo's of when my brother takes him out of the box!
Happy Holidays everyone!

Dec. 22nd, 2009 @ 01:19 am updates
hey all, and happy yule, merry cristmas, and etc. it's been a good long while since my last post, so i figured i'd drop an update.

Ama is happy and healthy, myself not so much.. i broke my arm almost 2 weeks ago in a motorcycle accident, luckily i didn't get hurt any worse than that, although having only one usable hand can be a real hassle.. makes it hard to get up and down, or to dress myself. we're trying a non-operative treatment to see if it'll heal by itself, with a brace to hold the bones together and straight. oh, yeah, i forgot to mention, it's my left upper arm, just above the elbow, and the bone broke into three pieces.

but anyway, i'm trying not to let this get me to down, and i'm looking forward to the holidays, my wife and i opened yule presents today (we're pagan, and the 21st is winter solstice, the origional Yule holiday), and wednesday we're going to my mom's to do christmas before my nephews go to cali to spend christmas eve/day with their step-dad's family.

anyway, that's most of the important stuff, so i'll bid evryone a good night for now.

I wish my dragon well and i miss him not being here around with gorgein and the new yet named dragon i got at the maryland ren fair two months ago. Both miss him too but when he comes back that will be jelious of him. good speed pro and will see you soon.

Dec. 20th, 2009 @ 10:57 pm It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas & Confucius sketch
It's almost Christmas and the weather is getting colder outside. With all the decorating going on, Dreamfinder wanted to put on his Christmas outfit and have his picture taken.

Of course, he loved his Christmas picture so much, he insisted that I make it my icon. :)

Here is one of the sketches of Confucius I gave to Bob:

As ideas came to me I started to jot them down on the side. I have another sketch that has a more finalized version of Confucius, but unfortunately I don't have it on my computer yet. I do however, have a picture of Bob working on his head with the picture on the desk:

Dec. 19th, 2009 @ 07:31 pm Early Christmas Kitty
Current Mood: amused
The little hatchling cat I got for my sister arrived safely. I couldn't wait till Christmas to give it to her, especially after seeing how she was longingly eye-balling my boys. So I wrapped it up real fast and gave it to her yesterday. She's been walking around the house with it ever since. The kitty looks lovely. I'll take some pictures later. She's named her Bliss. Having seen one in person now, I really want one of the hatchling creatures myself. I'll probably wait until I can afford the custom fox-dragon I've been planning though.

Dec. 19th, 2009 @ 12:07 am Promised pictures
Here are the promised pictures of my new woodbabies. Sorry it took me so long but time and the weather haven't been cooperating with me. Neither woodbaby has told me their name yet, but then again I haven't really had time to ask them.

Here's my wonderful crystal Frightmare. The claws on his wings are done in gold and I love that he has a little dark blue patch at the end of his tail:
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e252/dream_finder/101E0205.jpg

The Sabertooth looks so much more awesome in person than he did in the picture. I had no idea that his tail was free of the cable or that he had a scar over his left eye. I think that I might add a wire to his tail and some whiskers to him in the future:
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e252/dream_finder/101_0156.jpg

This is a close-up of the Sabertooth's scarred eye. The eye has pearly white paint ringing the outside edge of the eye so it looks like the eye itself is damaged:

Dec. 15th, 2009 @ 02:44 pm Im still around
Hey Gang

Sorry i have not been on here in recent weeks but life has been kicking me hard. The next show the team will be at will be the Hoggtowne fair in Gainesville FL then after that will be Bay fair in Tampa FL. we are planning on staying local a bit next year and will also be going to as many conventions as we can such as Megacon and maybe Metrocon.

As on my Charms side i have some wicked stuff on the table im working out. I do have some necklaces that will be showing up at hoggtowne as well as some hats that some of you saw me working on during Bay fair of this year. Come Bay fair i will have a new product that will make the babies look awesome and i cant wait to bring it out. i might post a teaser photo soon. i just dont want anyone taking the idea i have away from me so soon since i feel my job has been tested a little bit.

I have gone out there to get amazing pieces for my artwork to where im charging less then what i spent on one pendant so the woodbabies can show off the bling. with the items i will be putting out will range from $5-$10 depending what the item is and what had to go into it. all my necklaces are $5 but for a few that are a little more high class. the other stuff i have coming is still being worked out. Also keep an eye one the web site. Master Bob should be putting some of my stuff up so you can get it through him. keep in mind i rarely make the same thing twice so its all pretty much one of a kind.

thats it for now
